Founded by Dan Altschuler and Ricardo Umansky, Bodhi Fruit Chips has created a new way of enjoying the full flavors of great Mexican fruits with the crunchy texture of a chip. All this without adding any preservatives or extra sugars.

- On a trip to Mexico City, Dan found some fruit chips in a marketplace. Already working as a consultant for the food industry, Dan was aware of the increasing interest and demand for natural, healthy food products.

- After searching for the most natural way to produce fruit chips, as well as creating a chain of suppliers to guarantee sourcing the best fruit possible, Dan and Ricardo started importing their “air-baked” fruit chips made of many different fruits with no added sugars and no preservatives. After sampling over 20 varieties, they decided on four initial fruits: Mango, Strawberry, Apple & Pineapple. Selling at first to restaurants and hotels, the Bodhi brand was developed after most chefs concluded that people loved snacking on the fruits by themselves.

- Launched at Expo West in Anaheim, the Bodhi Fruit Chips brand incorporates the founder’s philosophy of simultaneously creating tasty, healthy snacks using innovative techniques while helping improve the quality of life of Mexico’s farmers who now have a new channel to sell their great harvests.
